Why hosting in Russia is a separate topic
The Russian hosting market has several specific features that affect the choice.

Selectel

Sprinthost

Speed and reliability: who is faster
According to independent performance tests (GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights, Pingdom):
Timeweb is ranked first in most tests for download time (GTmetrix) and server response (Webo Pulsar). Fast NVMe drives and caching give a real advantage in practice.

The year began with a wave of price increases. Providers explain this by the growth of infrastructure costs and tax burden.
Timeweb Cloud raised prices from December 15, 2025: the minimum Cloud-15 increased from 150 to 350 ./month – an increase more than doubled. REG.RU and Selectel increased tariffs from January 1, 2026 (average growth of 8-9% for Selectel). Beget from August 2025 has adjusted the line of virtual hosting.
